Sandra Moffat (b. 1963, Greenock) is a Scottish artist known for her layered, mixed media works that explore the atmosphere of place. She lives and works in Glasgow.

Sandra studied Embroidered and Woven Textiles at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating in 1986. Her years there laid the foundation for her understanding of surface, structure and material, all of which would later become key elements in her painting practice. After graduating, she built a successful career in interior design, working first with independent design studios in Glasgow, and then for larger firms including Osborne & Little in Edinburgh. In 1994, she was appointed Area Sales Manager for Colefax & Fowler, representing the London-based firm across Scotland, Ireland and the north of England. She spent over a decade in the industry, gaining valuable experience in the visual language of interiors-composition, colour, texture, scale.

Despite her success in design, Sandra gradually felt a pull back to her creative roots. In 2008, she joined a local art club and began painting again for the first time in many years. Her early efforts were well received-she sold seven works at her first exhibition-and this initial momentum led to more sustained studio time, growing confidence, and eventually a full return to her artistic practice.

Since then, Sandra has developed a distinctive visual language, drawing from both her textile background and her intuitive understanding of landscape. Her work has been selected for exhibitions with the Royal Glasgow Institute (RGI), Visual Arts Scotland (VAS), and the Paisley Art Institute, and is held in private collections across the UK, Europe, North America and Canada. Sandra works full-time from her home studio in the Southside of Glasgow.
