David J. Porter is a British painter working primarily in oil, known for his distinctive semi-abstract interpretations of the landscape. A self-taught artist based in Cheshire, he has exhibited widely across the UK in both solo and group exhibitions.

His work has been recognised in national competitions, including as a Regional Finalist in the Laing Art Competition and a Finalist at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. He has also exhibited at major art fairs such as the Affordable Art Fair (Battersea), Chelsea Art Fair, and the Edinburgh Art Fair.

David's paintings are held in private collections throughout the UK, Europe and Australia. Despite his non-traditional path into painting, his work resonates with collectors and curators for its clarity, confidence, and quietly compelling sense of place.
