Signed in plate offset lithographic poster incorporating the artist’s painting Los Dos Ciclistas from 1951.

The Fundación Juan March was a key site for the reassessment of early modernism in Spain, and Léger’s work was framed here not only as historical achievement but as a foundation for contemporary visual culture. The image selected for the poster exemplifies Léger’s mature language: bold, architectonic forms arranged in a measured, rhythmic balance that echoes his fascination with structure, clarity, and the visual order of the modern world.

For collectors, the significance of this poster lies in its articulation of Léger’s influence beyond painting. By the early 1980s, his work was increasingly understood in relation to graphic design, public imagery, and the mechanics of visual communication—fields he helped shape decades earlier.

Although produced as an offset lithograph, this is an original exhibition print, signed in plate from authorised material, intended for institutional circulation rather than decoration. It stands as a document of Léger’s posthumous canonisation within European museum culture, and as evidence of how his formal vocabulary—developed between Cubism, Purism, and modern industry—continued to resonate across generations and disciplines.
